four-tier process?

 

#1 The Plantation where the

 Cocoa is grown

 

#2 The beans are bought by companies that

convert the Cocoa Beans into Chocolate.

There are approximately 10 of these companies in the US. Here the Chocolate is formed into bars or “pastilles”. The bars are sold to the third tier.

 

#3 The third –tier companies make a

 Product with the ‘bars’.

 

#4 The final tier, the Retailer.
